Smores Bar Catering
Sandwich a gooey warm marshmallow and a slab of chocolate in a crispy graham cracker for a fun, relaxed event experience that only a catered s’mores bar can create.
Whether it’s over more romantic campfire-style coals in an open-top BBQ pit, glowing gas flames, or smooth river-rock-covered Sternos in a long wooden “planter” box or large round stainless container for a more finished look, something about roasting marshmallows and making — and eating! — s’mores brings out the whimsical child in all of us.
Yes! Cater some gooey glee for my guests and me!A s’mores bar brings a sweet, almost nostalgic ending to your corporate or social event, whether it’s to wind down after a tech conference in San Jose, like engineers recently did to get playfully out of their element (think The Tech Interactive rooftop on a warm summer night), or to casually kiss an evening celebration good night in Mountain View (see Tony’s idea for an outdoor wedding at the Rengstorff House, below).
Almost-Clean Fun
Tony makes it quick and easy for guests to grab a pre-skewered marshmallow — traditional store-bought ones or awesome house-made ones in gourmet flavors. We love strawberry, chocolate or mint, but are always up for custom flavors.
Roast ’em alongside your friends, family, or coworkers. Pick up some chocolate squares and graham crackers from the attractively displayed bowls and platters. Then close your eyes, bite, and savor the melted moment that will make sweet memories.
While Tony’s s’mores are by far a less messy affair than when you were little, we can’t guarantee that you won’t be licking melted chocolate from your fingers. Or someone else’s!
Best Places for S’mores
While s’mores really warm up any catered occasion anywhere, the time-tested treats pair especially well with vintage San-Jose-area venues.
For example, serve s’mores as a fun finale to a casual wedding at the Rengstorff House in Mountain View, engaging guests of all ages.
Tony envisions the ceremony on Rengstorff’s picture-perfect front lawn, moving to the larger side yard for the reception, then migrating back to the fabulous front lawn for s’mores at the end of the night.
The wedding favors could even be themed: cute bags of the same custom marshmallows that you had at the s’mores station for guests to take home and enjoy later, fondly remembering the evening!
